Re: Best Italian Food in Vegas

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] It's a bit off the strip, but Rosemary's is fantastic. I found out about it from chowhound.com a message board dedicated to good eats. http://www.rosemarysrestaurant.com/ Plus, on Sunday nights they had 1/2 price bottles of wine [/ QUOTE ] I hear Rosemary's is very good! [/ QUOTE ] I've eaten at Rosemary's, and it is very good, but I wouldn't classify it as an Italian restaurant, though they do have some pasta dishes. [/ QUOTE ] Nope, definitely not Italian, but OP was looking for other cuisines too. The biggest problem with Rosemary's is driving back to the strip after the bottle of wine! |

i dunno...i went to battista's last week and was really dissapointed....anybody else feel that way? [/ QUOTE ] I was there a few weeks ago when I was in Vegas. My Best Friend was a LIPSTour Champion, and she had won her seat into the championship, and they held their champions dinner there (she brought me along as her guest). I found the food good to eat, and one things for sure, with 7 courses, you won't go away hungry! |

Re: Best Italian Food in Vegas
battistas is all about old time atmosphere. in the 1970's when he was still around he would come out and sing at everyones table. he also ran the kitchen and everything was made fresh and tasty. i dont know who has it now but probably wouldnt go.

Its the best old-school red sauce Italian food I've found in Vegas so far, and its a super-dive which is always good for laughs. I hear this used to be your hangout with Dan, is that true? |

I would turn this thread on it's head and ask what is the worst restaurant in vegas, but I don't think we have enough time to go through all the posts that would be submitted. :-)

I was glad to see this post for I thought that once west of the Mississippi Italian food became a myth. The Excalibur had meatballs the size of baseballs which had a distinct spice which I couldn't place. The worst, still can't believe thsy tried to pass that off as Italian meatballs. |

IndieFatty raved about the Italian place at the Rio. [/ QUOTE ] I'll second that. Great food, great service and a menu I could read. B&B just wasn't my kind of place. To each their own. |

Re: Best Italian Food in Vegas
ditto Ferraro's..many really good dinners there over the years, Osso Buco A+ & better than at the original Circo (when Wynn owned the B) imho; also not bad, Antonios at Rio, and, if you have never been, Piero's just once
