Re: Fashion - Going Out (Without Coming Out!)
[ QUOTE ]
Sometimes I'll wear a t-shirt that's just a solid color (usually blue or green or black). [/ QUOTE ] Not grey, DaveR? And I thought you were a banker, not a lawyer - what’s with the black? Seriously, I hear you about the corduroy sports coat. I have been looking for one myself. |

Re: Fashion - Going Out (Without Coming Out!)
I rarely don't, but sometimes our plans change after everyones met up at someones house and we'll go from headed to a nice lounge to headed to a local college bar. I may untuck then as long as the shirt isn't clearly cut for tucking it in.
================= This now opens up things for belts. When it comes to belts, that's where my game might lack. I have some nice belts, but like to keep them simple. I don't wear anything big buckle and usually just stick to a solid black or brown. I'll do a braided brown or black for a little more casual wear. Any suggestions on belts? |

Re: Fashion - Going Out (Without Coming Out!)
Get rid of the braided belts. I stick with big thick leather belts, that are sharp.
Stuff like that. Make sure if you wear a watch, or any jewelry that its all the same, ie, if you are wearing a gold watch, or ring (not so much wedding), or necklce have a gold belt buckle. |

Re: Fashion - Going Out (Without Coming Out!)
[ QUOTE ]
For shoes, I highly reccomend the Bruno Magli "Raisi" Slip On's. They usually run about $350 a pair and are the most comfortable dress/going out shoe I have ever worn. I have a pair of brown and black and wear one of the two almost everyday. They go perfect with a suit but are also casual enough to wear with a nice pair of "going out" jeans. I would seriously compare the comfort level of these shoes to running shoes. Before anyone asks, yes these are the "infamous" OJ shoes that were used as evidence in his trial. On sale at Nordstrom now... http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/2375436/...375435~2375436 [/ QUOTE ] To be a nit, while OJ was wearing "ugly ass" Bruno Magli's, it was a different model, supposedly rare. (Wikipedia says it is the "Lorenzo" model). To traditionalists, you don't wear slip-ons with a suit. But few people follow that rule. And those shoes look nice enough for almost anyone to wear with a suit. |

Friends,
If you are going to wear blazers, at least make sure to get them tailored! Tron |

Re: Fashion - Going Out (Without Coming Out!)
Wookie,
IIRC, braided belts were pretty sweet around the late '80s. |
