Re: Should I CB? A Quiz.
H4 looks like a candidate for Orange Alert, very divergent views. I would love to play this one easy and hope someone will represent or have the flush when it comes in, so I'd play it to bag the elephant. To those who bet out on 4, are you b3bai every time?
H8: I'm being persuaded that c-betting may be spew, but still not so sure. Likelihood of being called is all that enters into it for me, because my c-bet is the last they'll see out of me if I'm called. Great thread, aj. nh |

[/ QUOTE ] hellz yeah. thats the point of this c bet so we can get it AI. donkey raises and calls our shove with 99 and cries like a baby when we hit our 15 outter. checking and let another heart hit will scare everyone else if we start betting once we have the nuts. build the pot now so its easier to get AI when we do hit. ship it |

Re: Should I CB? A Quiz.
*edit - elaborated my Yes's on the more contested ones.
H1 - Yes. H2 - Yes. H3 - Yes. H4 - Yes. H5 - Yes. I am betting this for my Shania. H6 - Yes. This is a scary flop for low PP's and I do have some outs still. H7 - Yes, but only if I go big. H8 - No. I am not cbetting a flop I missed OOP with 2 people behind me. |

Re: Should I CB? A Quiz.
I didn't realize H7 was 3 way, which would skew my answer.

Re: Should I CB? A Quiz.
I check H7 and H8, and I can see the merit to checking H2 since we're in position with a hand that can win on its own and better hands won't fold on the flop.
Why is H6 a check though? |

Re: Should I CB? A Quiz.
I agree with dan on H2 that if I'm betting the flop I'm almost always betting the turn as well and occasionally the river.

Why is H6 a check though? [/ QUOTE ] Your hand isn't as strong as it may appear. What worse hand will call? This hand has the potential for reverse implied odds to kick your ass. |

Re: Should I CB? A Quiz.
I agree almost completely.
H2: I would go for a delayed continuation bet on the turn. So check flop, bet/raise turn. Villian will believe you have a Q this way. At micros almost all players slowplay flopped trips, so this is the best way to represent trips. If I was villian I would be calling a cbet here and then check-raising turn if hero makes less than a 3/4 pot bet, again representing a Q. H6: I agree I like my hand, but not enough to commit my stack. I would check/call here because I could not withstand a big raise. Other than those, dead on. |

[/ QUOTE ] So you check/fold? I'd rather bet/fold. Villains on pairs or lower SCs have to let go. And yes I'm ahead of those hands but I want them out now anyway, thankyouverymuch, for the RIO reason you state. Maybe it's a full-ring thing; at FR they seem less likely to call SB with just broadway, so I'd put my chances of being ahead and pushing them out with a c-bet at very good. |
