ask him how much he wants. he clearly knows he cannot rip you off that much given your offer was $50, which i imagine in his eyes is way too small. so find out how much he is willing to sell it for.
you could keep getting increased offers rejected until he ignores you or you finally get it. save the time. |

I think that is your only option. Find out what he is looking for and try to find a common ground. This game is stupid if he realy will sell then he should tell you.

Wow great info. That is crazy that a name would be worth so much. Is there any chance that a 100,000K name is still unregistered? [/ QUOTE ] Only way you are going to score 100k on a newly registered domain name is by registering a name before it becomes mainstream. For example, the guy who bought antispyware.com sold it for 550k. Another example, the guy who bought ameros.com sold it for 12500. The Amero is the proposed currency for the planned North American Union which would open the borders between the USA, Mexico, and Canada. No clue if the North American Union actually becomes a reality, but that is not the point. Go to dnforum.com and dnjournal.com for a ton more information. |

I sent an email asking him how much he is wanting to get for it. He responded with "Thanks for your interest, but I'm not interested in selling it."
This after my initial email to which he replied "Thanks for your interest. If you'd like to make us an offer we'll considering transferring the site to you." Should I maybe try getting a domain buy agent and seeing if something comes out of that? The domain expires at the end of June but has been renewed every year since 2003. |

As of now I haven't come up with a domain that's even in the same ballpark as this one so I would really like to get this one if I can.

Well give me his email and I will email him and offer $500. If he still says no... then well someone else can up it a little more lol.

Umm...so what should I do? The way this guy is handling this kind of pisses me off too. Why would he say it's for sale and then say it's not?

find another domain name. why would you keep wasting time with someone who is obviously giving you the run around. for every catchy name there's gotta be hundreds more out there. spend your time implementing your idea instead of worrying about this.
