Re: defending vs squeeze: options, options..
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] why even ask if youre gonna disagree/get tilted when lots of posters (amongst them pretty well respected ones) advocate another line you and jones would take? [/ QUOTE ] youre right, it was just the tone of several responses. i agree with lefort, djsensei and others regarding this hand. i just think that a lot of the discussion is pretty irrelevant and more focused on "no matter what you do, any good player will outplay you" sort of thing. but ya youre right. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think that was necessarily the tack of the discussion. I don't think a lot of players can 5 bet shove air - people saying so are foolish. While backraises are not often monsters, they are not often air either. |

Re: defending vs squeeze: options, options..
Jfish,
4betting here just looks so suspicious. I think its a call or fold and either is fine. |

Re: defending vs squeeze: options, options..
Call, shove any flop because the rest of the options suck. A 4-bet now gets looked up very easily by the hands you want to fold out (AQ+,TT-QQ). You might coldcall AA in these spots sometimes, but untill he has seen you do it, you are going to burn money. Calling is fine, I like folding best.

[ QUOTE ] imo raising so little that were not committed is suspicious as hell. [x] call and shove a lot postflop. [/ QUOTE ] i 4bet very small quite often, it fits fine w/ my gameplan i think. [/ QUOTE ] how do you play KK/AA here in this spot? i guess also 4bet small mostly? |

[ QUOTE ]
trying too hard to play back at a squeezer, 335 fold to a shove is your best option, getting it in pre here is a disaster. [/ QUOTE ] This is very wrong. |

Re: defending vs squeeze: options, options..
call, play poker on the flop if you really feel the need to play back here, you get zero respect. I remember a certain hand where I CC AA and u squeeze, i call the reraise and u know the rest.

But it goes well with my game because i always do a small 4bet with monsters and medium hands if i think someone is 3betting light. Explain how this is very wrong?? |

Re: defending vs squeeze: options, options..
Like with most of these polls, I didn't know what to pick, because I sometimes fold here, if I decide its time to play back, I either 4-bet small and fold to a push, or call pre, and then depending on the player and the flop either push a ton of flops, or push raise ace or ten for value (and be happier about a t).
