Re: Huge overbet on river, I have a flush, WTF?
this is such an easy fold it's sickening. people at 100NL do NOT play tricky enough to make a move in this spot and if he wants that much value out of his hand you can be sure it's better than the 3rd nuts

Re: Huge overbet on river, I have a flush, WTF?
Yeah. He has the nuts. A bigger pot becomes difficult but I fold this without even really focusing on the table. The only reasonable explanation is the nut flush. Its pretty unreasonable to think he's bluffing; all your action thus far is consistent with the nut flush and he ain't ascared.

Re: Huge overbet on river, I have a flush, WTF?
I also see bad players play nut flushes like this a lot at 200nl. By the riv he realizes (or hopes, though by this point I think your hand is pretty apparent) you have a flush and knows you'll probably pay off a bet no matter how big.
I don't think trips/straights/lower flushes raise this big hardly ever. |

Re: Huge overbet on river, I have a flush, WTF?
While I was trying to figure out what to do I didn't realize I had no timebank and ended up timing out :-/
I am reasonably sure this was a good thing. |
