Re: Men the Master: Class Act
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] To the person who claimed Men stole chips from a Dutch pro at WSOP 2006: Story? [/ QUOTE ] Story has been posted on one or two Dutch poker fora ( in Dutch ) Short version: Men shortchanged the dutch pro in an all-in pot. ( $2k PLH event, about 25% of chips held back ) I'll notify the dutch player of this thread, maybe he'll tell the full story himself. [/ QUOTE ] What elrudo said is the story in short. |

Re: Men the Master: Class Act
I think most men, especially Asian Men, would get angry when you talk about them sending their daughters out to sell something for money. Do you see why?

[ QUOTE ]
I can't hate on Men for having a refugee mentality and doing whatever it takes to win. This is poker and, like it or not, cheating has always been a big part of the game. Even if MTM uses some dishonest tactics to win, think of all the players he's supported through his tutelage, not to mention his charitable donations. Men is like a poker "Godfather", you can expect corrupt practices from his "family". I like this concept. Plus, he gets drunk during tournaments. [/ QUOTE ]hes a huge douchebag period |

Re: Men the Master: Class Act
[ QUOTE ]
I remember on one of my first poker trips at Foxwoods a few years ago, Men was collecting handfuls of cash for orphaned children in Vietnam or something. People seemed more than willing to hand it over. [/ QUOTE ] Handfuls of cash? Men was selling souvenier chips with his image for whatever donation you wanted to give him for the Vietnamese orphan children. I thought it was probably a scam but I had just final tabled a big event with him the day before and made a big cash and felt funny saying no, so I gave him $5. To be fair, he has a bit of a split personalty. At times he is the nicest guy in the world and other times a world class prick. Probably depends on how many Coronas he's had. Re: Men the Master: Class Act
I agree that line is funny, and that Men is a douche based on what I have read, but the point of this whole thing is dumb. The OP sounds like he's just trying to get a rise out of Men so he can run back and report to his Internet buddies, "look at me, I just said something mean to a famous person!" That makes me, like, better than that famous person!"
Seriously, why not be mature and just leave the dude alone? He's done nothing to you personally, it seems. This is lame. |
