No not what I'm saying. Just don't like overly loose action that can break me in a heartbeat with hands like that. But this is for another forum I'm sure.

Vegas = tourists = that's what you're gonna want.

Default Rio All Suites Tournaments are great!

You should try out the Rio All Suites & Casino tournament that starts at 12pm everyday. It's a $50 buy in with $30 rebuy.

There was a mix of players...you could tell who were the regulalars who sign up to play in it all the time and who were the tourists. There was a range of players...from loose and soft to aggressive. Met some friendly players as well.

I sat at this one table where this diminutive old asian lady quietly reraised her whole stack every now and again. You could tell with her it was time to fold. I saw her there 2 days in a row.

The players at the Paris were also very friendly..but I didn't like how the poker area was this roped off area smack in the middle of the casino..it was loud and echoey and hard to hear the dealer who was directly in front of you.

Have fun in Vegas!

I ended up booking the Venetian through the association that is running the convention. It is the NAB convention. The price was very good, cheaper than the MGM's website price for those dates. I figured I would treat myself nice by staying at the Venetian. Also, my boss will stay there so I better get some comped meals!. Plus, if I don't like the poker room I can go to the Wynn easily enough. There is a monorail stop there too. I'm sure there will be a good number of conventioneers who are drinking, oogling the women and wearing sunglasses. So even I should do well at the tables.
