ESPN.com held daily fan ballots for the major awards and Morneau was dominating at the end.

edit...my point being that the writers are the status quo, you conspiracy theorists, you.

And Justin Morneau is a standout guy? He's a middle of the pack first baseman this year. He had 6 homeruns after the all star break.

[/ QUOTE ]

???

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, I meant after the trading deadline. 6 homeruns in August and September combined.

bonus points for being canadian

Clearly this is a communist conspiracy.

[/ QUOTE ]

Seriously not one Canadian who has one a major award in the past 10 years has deserved it, excluding the NHL.

[/ QUOTE ]

Larry Walker, 1997 NL MVP.

[/ QUOTE ]

Mike Piazza says hi. Coors field says hi.

And now, a picture of a sportswriter trying to use a knife:

But hey, he has a lot of heart.

yeah that was pathetic, park adjusted they are roughly equal, position adjusted its not even a contest

[ QUOTE ]
apparently 5 voters left mauer off their ballots entirely.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is worse than Jeter finishing #2

I still am amazed that he can win the GoldGlove, and HankAaron award by the voters, and then not win the MVP(not saying he deserved the GG just its odd, that with a GG at SS and very good offensive stats, they would put a 1B #1)

Walker was only a hair behind in VORP. Piazza might have been slightly better, but it was by no means a shaft.

Francesa and Russo had him on their show. They grilled him, a bit unfairly, but the guy still came across as a clueless idiot. Oh, how I wanted to answer so many of their questions for him.
