Northern Exposure was reasonably well-known but I know a lot of people who have never heard of it and I don't think the re-runs are shown on any station anymore.
I have the first 3 seasons on DVD. Some of the episodes are amazing, thought-provoking and hilarious all at the same time.

Northern Exposure is on 7 days a week on Universal HD in case you have that channel available in your lineup.

Can I nominate My So Called Life? Or is that too well known?

Man vs. Wild on Discovery Channel is awesome. It stars a guy named Bear who has himself dropped off in an isolated and dangerous location (like the African Jungle or in the Arctic) with just a knife and a flint and he has to find a way to get back to civilization/rescued.

The Trailer Park Boys, a huge cult favorite out of Canada. You can catch all the shows on the web, they've got over 50 of them now.

Wicked funny twisted humor. Enjoy..

I'll second this. Zane Lamprey has the best job in America, travel the world and drink.

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' may be the funniest show on TV right now.

Ya this is one of my favorite shows, absolutely hilarious. Anyone know when the new season starts?
