No matter what route you take, she's never coming back again. If it's an anonymous note, or if you hire someone to tell her, she's going to be embarrassed and not want to come back at all. While this may be a good thing for your nose, is it a good thing for the pockets?
I can't see any way to get out of this situation without losing the customer. T

I only now established the link between the adsman of this thread and the adsman of the catnapping threads.
I agree with the hand passed note from a total stranger. Something like, "You are such a lovely rose you deserve to smell as sweet" taped to a gift bag with some fruity soaps inside. You could even hand this to her and say it's from an admirer.

If you go the anonymous note route, find out where she lives and mail it to her instead. If she receives the notes from you or someone else in the bar, she'll be embarassed and never show her face there again.

[/ QUOTE ] Just think of how many potential regulars you have lost due to Ms BO. It's really a win-win. Either she cleans up or she leaves and is replaced by someone less odorous.

whatever you did, i'd make it discrete. having a loud conversation in her general direction about how you smell dead fish is probably a bad idea.
either give her a note, or man up and pull her over to the side somewhere a little bit private and say over the past weeks there have been a few complaints about a smell that is coming off her, and perhaps she might freshen up a bit whenever she thinks she's coming to the bar.

If you're willing to go through the trouble of middlemen, cutouts, dead drops, and messages on microfilm to not be associated with this issue, just have her followed and mail it. The problem will be having someone follow her without getting caught. Too bad you don't know any good ninjas.
