it is against my Religion and my ethical/moral code, such as it is, but I do urge others to donate.

So you don't want to go to hell, but its okay for us to. In fact you encourage it.

I'm not sure you are serious. Anyway, I think your sarcasm detector is broken. Personally I plan on going to Hell myself as it will at least be interesting – Heaven being an exceptional boring and trite place with hoards of pasty-faced morons milling about a golden throne occupied by a omnipotent nincompoop.

But this is way off the subject so either donate to Ron Paul or go read a good book is my suggestion.

There's been a huge spike in donations thanks to the email that Ron Paul sent out and it certainly shows in the link below. Today should be a big day because people who didn't read it before they went to bed will read it when they wake up and donate!

Just for some kicks, go to Huckabee's website and see how much he's raised in the same time Congressman Paul has raised over $1,000,0000.

It's kind of necessary to get people to know what libertarianism is before they'll support it...

Exactly. Ron Paul being elected would be one of the worst things to happen to the freedom movement.

Don't worry R Paul has no chance of being elected. I just see this thread as a way for people to gloat how they can waste money! Bad taste, in fact!

"Well that so called Libertarian guy got in and my taxes are still going up"

"but thats because congress and..."

"don't care I'll never trust that libertarian crap again."

Also the whole unsustainable system hasn't got too long left no matter what any president may do and there is a very small but very real chance that the whole thing will come crashing down on the watch of the next president. I don't want the ideas of freedom being blamed for the horror of statism once again. Soon there'll be a choice between anarcho capitalism and totalitarianism and I want to be in the position to say "told you so" so that use few freedom lovers have credibility. If we get "our guy" in and the whole shebang comes down anyway (which it inevitably will) we lose all that possible credibility and any chance at freedom.
