I thought you just get rakeback based on the rake you generated. As in, say the X number of pots you win, and the Y amount of rake that was taken out. Add that altogether, and then take 30% or so cut of that. Am I totally wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]
I have never heard of any site taking the winner of the pot into consideration when computing MGR (rakeback).

Even though this would make all the sense in the world.

BUMP because today is the day!

If the merger does take place and both sites continue to run pretty much as is (with minor changes only), would you rather play at Ultimate Bet for the better software or Absolute Poker for the better bonuses?

I really don't see how they could use different software and have the players at the same tables. I'm sure its possible, but there is no way its happening.

You can't run two servers (site software) for one game. It's either the UB server or the AP server and the other one gets scrapped.

But the client (PC software) could be another matter. They could probably modify the AP client to run with the UB server with only a few visible changes. AP recently made one of the necessary changes when they stopped using tables with nine seats for 6-max games. Coincidence? I don't know.

When I open UB I am not greeted by a AP model hostess to tell me about exciting new stuff.

full tilt is dealt cards rake share, and games grid is dealt cards. planet poker is dealt cards with 50% rake back thorugh the site paid bonuses. ub is delat cards, and up till recently ap was dealt cards. cake poker is dealt cards, i believe. other than that most sites do contributed rake where you only collect based on money you put in the pot.

i am not sure what is happening when ub and ap combine.

dobrosoft pays affiliates by contributed, but props by involved/dealt cards. if future bet moves there it would be wonderful if they shifted to the dealt cards method for everyone.
