I really digged the finales of 24 seasons 1,2, and 5...I know I'm going to get hated on for that but it really entertained me.

Arrested development "it WAS arrested development" plus they left the possibility of a movie.

also, i'm going to go ahead and say that while it hasn't happened yet, the sopranos will be taking the title in a couple weeks.

Im pretty sure they were leaving open the possibility of getting picked up by another network, which they were talking to showtime for a while about.

As for more modern shows, I liked the finale for That 70's Show and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Carnivale? That wasn't supposed to be the final episode... the show was cancelled before teh third season.
