Surely giving a reward is +EV for Party? As it making it somewhat proportional (though obviously you couldn't give millions). This is because in the future, anyone else who accidentally got transferred $40 million, knowing they wouldn't get a cent of reward for it, has little incentive not to screw around with it and maybe try to get some out for themselves. If Party thinks the average damage the person not reporting it could cause is even 0.1% of the total amount (assuming that they could catch people trying to withdraw or chip dump a large proportion of the time), surely returning half of that expected loss, $20,000, to the honest person is reasonable.

Of course, maybe they're banking that no accidental transfers of any scale could ever occur again.

So maybe if such a thing happens to you, you could punish Party for their stinginess.

Some guy on a Dutch forum had the same thing. He said he couldn't do anything with the money and it just sat there.

If its true, its clearly someone's [censored] on party side. If they provide you any sort of settlement, they would have to explain this later to their superiors and someone is getting in trouble. They much rather avoid this. Money does not come out of nowhere, if they were put on your account they were taken somewhere. Just explain to them that unless you get some retribution, you as a loyal and responsible customer is ought to make this public and notify the high levels

Have any of you actually read the TOS before thinking that it's Party's fault?

Obviously partypoker would be able to track everything you did with the money. cashing out will be denied and chipdumping would get your friend in trouble. The only thing you could do however is go sit at a highstakes table, alerting a friend who can play that game to come sit on that table to, and then just playing as a total retard to EVERYONE on that table. obvioulsy you tell your friend what you have before going allin with him so he always have the best of it, but you gotta make sure to lose about as much to at least 4-6 other players at that table. Then Party can conclude you just abused the money you found. They can't take the mone away from the winning players, and they cant do [censored] to yourself cause you have $0 in your account anyway.

Thats what I would do anyway
