data mining results have confirmed that the best short stackers are amongst the biggest winners over large samples.

Yes? He said that short stacker win rates are higher than any of the regs and I said that it was true and had been confirmed by data miners. What's so difficult about that?

if you go to a 1/2 nl game in a casino the min buyin is usually 60 and the max is usually 200.

i really think we should draft an email to stars where we propose a min buyin for 30 or 40bb instead of 20. i cannot stand the constant shortstackers, ruining hus, constant ratholing, hit and runs, and making tables break.

they are unethical, annoying, and pretty much destroy the dynamics of the game by forcing people to play less hands.

can someone draft an email to stars explaining the situation and then we can have like every 25/50 regular send it

[/ QUOTE ]

Stars should have deep stacked tables with a min buy in over 50bb.

Currently it is probably most profitable to play a short stack at 25/50, as there are already so many short stacked nits that playing 100bbs deep is like regular poker with 1k landmines.

This is one of the reasons I don't play very much 25/50. Every time I look it's 5 pros and 4 short stacked retards going at it.

I agree it's ruining the game, but it's not really unethical. The games are simply set up so that the best/easiest way to make money is to sit short stacked.

i agree w/ you guys, shortstacking sucks but theres nothing you can do about it now until something is changed, so just adjust.. thats all you can do.

We need to do something about this, everyday the tables have 2-3 shortstackers.....FatalError, knockstiff, socuties, and now Littlezen who pretty much play 24-7. We need stars to raise the min buyin to 2k at least Id prefer 3k. It makes finicial sense because many tables break because of the ss, and I know if I see alot of them I won't even play.

[/ QUOTE ]

maybe players should be able to have eject buttons so they can kick opponents they don't want to play from the table, that would really good.

I am not a shortstacker nor do I care for them, however I think the real problem is that you are not able to bluff them or push them off a pot. Basically making them the same as calling stations. Since a lot of your moves in the higher levels is based on having room to push an opponent off a given hand that is where I think the problem arises and makes you so angry.

id like to hear the argument for why its unethical...in my mind once someone wins money its theirs to do what they wish...

frowned upon and unethical are two different things.

for example, if i hit and run someone for 50BB HU, that's frowned upon, but not unethical. it really, really sucks, but thats that.

if i collude with someone 3 handed, that's unethical.

"joke? i sure hope so. "

considering there is only one player with >50k hands and >3/100 i dont see why it is hard to fathom.

why is it frowned upon if it isnt unethical. in my mind if the consensus among the players is that it's frowned upon, that means it's unethical. stars should up the time it takes for you to come to the same table with a fresh stack to 2 hrs, problem solved.
