Near Seattle, there used to be a small cardroom called the Hideaway. There was a floorman who worked there who also played in the games and bet sports with customers and was generally something of a degenerate. I will never forget the first time I cashed out $1k (a lot to me at the time) when I put the two racks of red on the counter and he asked me "flip for it, double or nothing?" I stared at him like he had two heads. He took out a coin and was clearly serious. I declined, but in hindsight I should have done it.

[/ QUOTE ] Well obviously Also it should be noted that Leo's proposal-serious or not-stems from the fact that when I was chilling with him and a bunch of others in a hotel in suburban New Orleans following a quizbowl tournament and I played high card with some dude for $20 Also, some lightweight from the University of Chicago puked on some other dude's bed |
