in a game a retarded momkey could crush.

This doesn't accurately describe the typical commerce 1/2 lineup. Once in a blue moon, sure, but not typically.

so typically one has to be at least able to beat say 5/10 online to win in the commerce 1/2?

We talking live games? I'd love to see some decent sample sizes. Schneids is right, my experience and results show me the Commerce 1/2 day in and day out isn't any better of a game than any that go at the Bellagio. I haven't played at Bay 101 yet but I'd be interested in how people think they compare. Over 300 hours I'm only beating the Commerce 1/2 for 60 an hour, if that's anywhere close to my true winrate it would be smarter for me to play 60/120 where the game is always retarded good, and 2/4 and higher when the lineup is right.

my sample size is much smaller... but the 1/2 game at commerce was miles easier then the 1/2 game at the bellagio (middle of series... so). means nothing deathdonkey and i trust your judgement much more then mine, but whenever i look at the 1/2 game at commerce it seems as though there was minimum 1-2 players that were relatively on the clueless side of things.

last time i was in LA i put in probably 50-60 hours into the 60 120 game... it was retardedly good for probably 15-20 of it. not that good for probably 10 of it and good for the rest.

does anyone have sample sizes with like 1k+ hours playing at both the bellagio and commerce... it would be interesting to compare winrates in the different 1/2 games

DD-
ive never been to bay101 or obviously played the 1/2 there, but from what i've heard it can be a very good game.

The 1/2 is rarely incredible when I look over. There are two particular regulars that are very bad that I will almost automatically sit if they are playing. I also played with a 60 regular in 1/2 once that was super drunk and was going 5-10 bets with no pair. A lot of times the game looks okay but not great, other times the game looks like I'd rather play 60 or just go to sleep. Thank god I'm broke so I don't have to make these decisions any more.
