My intent with the Stephen Roach post was not to be critical of your point of view.

I just thought it was "postworthy" to note that someone who has been so vocal about the perils of the current account and fiscal deficits has apparently become less concerned about them. It will be interesting to read his reasoning for softening is stance.

I agree 100%... Which is kind of amazing when you consider that maybe 0.1% of the population is even familiar with the concept of deflation let alone predicting it. Not to say that a repeat of the Great Depression is a necessarily likely event, but the similarities are stunning.

Time will tell....but it seems like Roach is a brilliant, Princeton educated, contra-indicator.
