heh, fair enough.

That being said, I'd probably put two David Lynch movies in my top ten all time list (if i were forced to make such a list), so I really did mean that if the movie is surreal and complex its probably more likely that i'm going to enjoy it.

I should be back with a review sometime later in the week. We'll see. I have well-tempered expectations, thanks to all the poor reviews.

I typically find that going into a movie with low expectations turns out much better than going into one with high expectations.

I liked this movie a lot. I did not play the video game and thought it was really cool. I'm a chicken so it gave me some pretty good scares, especially in the beginning when I did not know wtf was going on.

I will admit one annoyance in white below (SPOILER ALERT!):

I went to see this movie with my gf and at the end I'm like wtf, I don't get it! She said "Are you serious?" and I said "Yeah I know they are in another dimension, but WHY??!?!" my gf said "i don't know, they just are.." If that were explained clearly, the movie would have been freakin amazing, instead it's a solid movie and I would rate it 7/10.

This movie sucked. Very badly. The ending is just plain retarded.

I haven't seen it yet since it's a 25% at rottentomatoes, but IGN said this:

Silent Hill is probably the smartest and best-looking video game adaptation yet, it just doesn't have much else going for it. After all, video games are about entertainment, and Silent Hill is a chore to sit through.

So, even though it sucked, my post still stands. Smartest/best adaption of all time

I almost walked out of silent hill. I NEVER WALK OUT OF MOVIES.

Mortal Kombat is much better IMO.
