Re: Dario Minieri...I am actually impressed
[ QUOTE ]
he called soccer---> football = his mindset is not American [/ QUOTE ] American football has its origins in varieties of football played in the United Kingdom in the mid-19th century. American football is directly descended from rugby football. LOL at americans stealing our stuff and then claiming the ownership!! I heard that many americans believe that Pizza is US national food!! |

Re: Dario Minieri...I am actually impressed
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] In Italy we jus call each team by their name without the actual corporate acronymous, therefore AC MILAN is MILAN, FC INTER MILAN is INTER or FC JUVENTUS is JUVENTUS. TO be honest although I a huge football fan I would not know most of AC,FC or whatever for the majority of the teams...this DEFINITELY makes me Italian! [/ QUOTE ] he called soccer---> football = his mindset is not American [/ QUOTE ] Football is called football American football is called gridiron, NFL "american football" even Australian football is called "aussie rules" OK? [/ QUOTE ] lol, say that when u have a 300 lb. linebacker coming at u....... and thats just high school football |

[ QUOTE ] American football is called rugby for girls [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] That'd be stupid, since it's mostly played by men. I'd call it Ameerican Handball. |

[/ QUOTE ] I am a huge football (soccer) fan and i take constant abuse from all of my sports watching friends. Soccer will never be #1 in America. Most Americans don't understand the game and just say "nothing ever happens... ohhhh 1-0 what an exciting game!! I counter attack, because even though i like American Football its easy to poke holes in as well... it's a seriously slow overly commercialized game. It's a 3 hour broadcast with at most 30 minutes of actual action. My girl is Irish and she got me into Rugby during this world cup and im surprised its not more popular in America. I enjoyed watching it. Also, Arsenal pwns the world this year! |

Re: Dario Minieri...I am actually impressed
the AC stands for assocaizione calcio = football association...
There is football and then there is american football. The former is a world wide game, the later is played by a bunch of big girls in padded suits. Quite simple really. |

[/ QUOTE ] In soccer/football cheating, diving, whining and being corrupt makes you Italian. Stabbing people from behind means you are probably an Italian football-fan. Knowing the letters connected to the various teams means you are interrested in the sport. |
