Well she doen't look too crazy in this picture, but she sure is a nutjob in part of the series. Even diagnosed by a doctor, so here you go:

Kirstie Alley as Virgilia Hazard in North and South

Never heard of it, but her commercials are enough to convince me.

Lily Taylor as Valerie Solanus in "I Shot Andy Warhol".

An excellent movie, and Lily Taylor is an excellent actor. Valerie Solanus though, was batshit crazy.

I haven't seen it but this movie sounds pretty interesting TomE. I might just add it to my blockbuster queue.

Going way back again, how about this character? Would she be considered a whack job?

Is that the crazy roommate film? I think I saw that one! Good pick Mrs. U. (I think Jennifer Jason Leigh is a very good actress.)

Definitely worth the time to rent it. I saw it after doing some research on the time frame, specifically the Velvet Underground, who were the "house" band for Andy Warhol's Factory. That led me to see this movie, which in turn led me to "Factory Girl", which was about Edie Sedgwick. Something about the people attracted to Andy Warhol, they were all so self-destructive, although the film about Valerie Solanus makes it seem as if she understood Warhol's status and was trying to use it to push her agenda.

Anyway, both of these are great flicks.

The first thing that popped into my mind was my favorite role for Rene Zelweger, Nurse Betty.

Hi Katy:

Mae West, and I don't think it's close.

Best wishes,
Mason
