But seriously.. I think that the players have gotten a lot tougher... or else I just totally suck even worse than I used to... cause lately I cannot get anything going in any tournament.

Cept for you know... usually when I have a huge advantage on someone and that ever so common runner runner straight/flush hits me. Been happening so much lately I'm wondering if it's just me that sucks or what the deal is.

Yeah i think it makes sense that the high stakes cash games would toughen up first as its alot more inconvenient to get a big sum of of money to a poker site.

Donkament field sizes are down about 10 - 20 percent in the last couple of weeks. i dont think it would be incorrect to assume almost all of them were losing players.

it also seems like the players are quite a bit tighter. this is very bad at the start of a tourney not necessarily so bad at the end of one. but yes i think people's ROIs will definitely take a bit of a hit.

IIRC theres still lots of fish from other parts of the globe

the sky is only falling if you a marginally winning tournament player or are just not a good cashgame player in general

im looking forward to LA/vegas this summer and possible a tour of europe EPT style next year. cashgames wooyay.

The sky has fallen.

wtf are you talking about. Poker has grown SO [censored] MUCH the past two years it was natural for something to happen to suddenly throw the growth off for a while. This will stop growth for the near future, and probably even set us back a month or so but the million isn't gonna lose it's guarantee.

adanthar is being levelheaded; and locotus is [censored] out of his mind. business as usual.

well with 180s they have gottin redic harder with the dropoff, which is surprising because the same 15-20 people are reg for all of them hasn't changed but those who 2-3 table the taggy players who are breakeven barely are filling up the tourneys thus reducing the awful players who are wayyy -ev.

Interesting thread in NVG, posted by Brandon Adams, called "Everyone's Going Broke in 2007":

My thoughts are in there.

I'm in the cautiously optimistic camp. Brandon, um, is not.

Badger.. i'm seriously sending you some major hate looks right now showing me those two hands. If someone were to call me down with your first hand, I guarantee that the flop would have a queen in it and no ten, or the turn/river would give him a straight

I fully expected him to hit his diamond flush on the river.
