The whole point was that everyone was almost equally clueless.

I wanted to play something like 5-10 blinds, but if I'm getting drunk it would be kind of dumb. I have class M thru Th till 8:45, the rest of the time is free. I only know how to play two of the games mentioned; I think I will be the donater in the group. If its .50-1.00, I guess it's not an issue siince I won't drop that much with those stakes.

fwiw, attitudes like this keep me from being interested in things like this.

thanks anyway though...

What attitude?

i would be interested in a north bay one, or even hosting one. I live about 1 hr north of golden gate bridge. I realize I am a bit of an EDF usurper....

Here is some more info from me.
Here are potential dates assuming we want a Friday night.
June 29th, July 13, July 20. Oh I have some standing home rules also, that are stuck in affect as bad_beetz wrote them on my dry-erase board in permanent marker.

No singing
No ties (neckties)
No chop

Logistics
Stuff I have:
Space wise, I can handle as many tables as we want. Supply wise I have the following.
1,000 chip set.
One round tabletop and table. (6-8 players)
9 padded chairs
Kill buttons and OVERS buttons.
2 or 3 setups of plastic cards.
probably a dealer button.
Computer run tourney timer software.(same as bay101, and Yacht) I can probably borrow anything we need except padded chairs and a spare table or tabletop. (do have an oblong table in a pinch, but its kinda sucky since its too high and self dealt games on ovals is lame.

What I would need people to provide:
Tabletop and chairs if more than 8
Beverages, snacks, etc
A music option, if someone has like an iPod and one of those portable speaker things, that would work. Otherwise I have a boombox CD player, or my ibook.

Im probably forgetting something, let me know what it is.

Is this a one-time thing, or are you guys trying to set up a regular game?

Pancho, you rule.

FWIW I hope this becomes a regular game and having 6-8 people is perfect IMO.

June 29 would work fine for me. Anyone that wants to play (PITTM, john voight, steel108, kurt, willmagic, mrtea, panchovilla, analyst, scorpion man, jumbo jacks, pigz4bill) should post whether or not June 29 will work for them and if we have enough we should have the first game.

Some more info.

I will probably have 2-3 other players. They aren't regular EDF posters, but since they are my main poker playing pals, its kinda hard for me to have a home game and not invite them. So friends are fine, just remember you are responsible for them.

Since I have never really hosted a game where I didn't personally know many of the players, I definitely prefer keeping that game slightly smaller stakes wise. So couple requests in this regard if this is ok with everyone.

Largest games I would like to see are on the order of.

3-6 limit with kill/overs to 5-10.
1-2 NL $300 max ish. I don't want to really have a cap, I just don't want people planning to buyin for $1k and bringing several buy-ins.

Please DO NOT post my real name or address or any directions on 2+2. I will either PM, or email it out individually to the attendees. Maybe JaBlue or someone can collect everyones email so we can have a list for that type of info?

I apologize to offTopic, but I do not think I can afford El Diablo's waitresing rate.......
