Re: 2007-2008 NBA season prediction polls thread
Houston Rockets will win the most games in the regular season. Deepest team in the league. They own the highest point differential so far in the preseason, by a large margain. You may think oh it's just the preseason but they've been playing their bench players like everybody else.

[ QUOTE ]
tuq, great thread. I went: Celtics win atlantic *dont think there is any dispute there Bulls win central *dont think any dispute here Bullets win southeast *how can any other team win? this is the weakest division I think Mavs win southwest *this is the best division by far Jazz win northwest *again, no argument Suns win pacific *this is a LOCK Celtics vs Suns final, Suns winning it all. KG MVP, Durant ROY, Gilbert scoring leader. [/ QUOTE ] Lol. Mine are the same except I have the Bulls instead of the celts, and I picked "field" for the MVP. I think Yao should have been on the ballot at least. |

[ QUOTE ] Celtics, Bulls, Bullets Spurs (although it's basically a coinflip with Mavs), Nuggets (I think they have a higher ceiling than the Jazz with a full year of Melo), Suns Spurs over Bulls final. MVP: KG ROY: KD Scoring: KB (sensing a theme?) Can't wait till the season starts. [/ QUOTE ] Concur with all except MVP - Boston won't win enough games regular season for KG to be a frontrunner. It should come from the Nash/Duncan duo - same as the last few years. [/ QUOTE ] I see no reason why BOS can't win a bunch of games playing in that division. I picked them to win the division afterall (which you agreed with??). I think Duncan (big guy) and Kobe (wing) are the best players in the league, but voters aren't gonna give TD a 3rd MVP unless it's impossible not to, and Kobe's team is gonna kill him again. Nash will have the same issues as TD, so I think KG steps into the opening with a big season under the spotlight. |

LOL I voted Suns/Bulls and am really surprised they are both leading. No real explanation behind my pick.

Re: 2007-2008 NBA season prediction polls thread
boston has 3 guys that have been double teamed their whole career and now neither can be. So good james posey can only play a few min a game. East is weak and boston will dominate
As far as the west goes, if grant hill and amare are healthy it will be the suns |

As far as the west goes, if grant hill and amare are healthy it will be the suns [/ QUOTE ] the suns success will not be predicated upon grant hill. he is playing the role of a 7th/8th man. raja, barbosa, diaw, are all much more integral to the suns success. |
