So you're saying you think the quarter pounder is a single 1/8# patty? Or is it that the quarter pounder and double quarter pounder are the same thing, they just charge more for the latter to stick it to the suckers?

Isn't a double quarter pounder two 1/8lb patties?

[/ QUOTE ]

For real?

Wow. I have never thought of it this way. I would not be surprised at all to find out this is true. I had always assumed that "Double Quarter Pounder" meant two patties having a total weight of .5 pounds (.25 per patty). However, I certainly wouldn't be surprised if MacDonalds just meant a double burger equaling .25 pounds total (1/8 pound per patty).

That would be some slick marketing.

Hardees Thickburgers FTW. of course, thier fries suck balls so you still have to swing by McD's Drive Thru for the fries.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yuck, had a McD the other day for the first time in over a year, how can anyone consider that to be food, or the fries to be anything close to sub par i have no idea.

Oven chips > real home made chips > takeaway chips > BKing fries >>>>>> McD fries

I considered eating the paper bag they came in instead of the fries - in the end i left most of them. The Big Mac was disgusting too.

I don't see the point of using an allegedly better quality of meat when you are still frying it on the same crappy grill and throwing it in the same warming bins as McDonald's does.

At least Burger King has the flame broiled thing going for it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Come to Argentina... better meat makes a world of difference. You have no idea how much better McDonald's is here.

[/ QUOTE ]
Why is the meat better in Argentina? Are the cattle any different? Is the meat handled differently? It seems like all the Argentinos I've met bring this up. I did have an amazing burger in Chile, but that was probably because I had been hiking for 9 days. I'm guessing if you asked someone from Argentina about the burgers in Chile they'd say they suck, because the other thing I've gathered from talking to people from Argentina is that everything they have is better than what Chile has.

You are a Fast Food Thread Tard. Stop posting in fast food threads and stick to fish 'n chips or bangers 'n mash or shepherd's pie, i.e. awesome stuff you can't get in a drive-thru.

Just park outside the chippy and go inside.

Either way, for drive through based fast food McD is worse than KFC and BK.

Note, British, so dont know what Wendys, Jack in the Box or Big Kahuna Burger is like.
