Re: WPT Legends: shoving over limpers
"While not in the habit of taking those flips, I don't turn down inexpensive shows of tenacity."
Man, this is such a great quote. So perfect in the way it captures so much of how I think about situations like that......I hope you don't mind that I am going to adopt it and pass it off as my own, and no one will know the difference. |

For those who don't know, Mike is at the final table today. At least he used my pitiful chip stack well!

Re: WPT Legends: shoving over limpers
Considering the positions, I see nothing wrong with this.
If the old guy open limped as late as the 3rd seat, I wouldn't shove, though. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I'm pretty sure they'll find any reason to call in the "One thousand reasons to call" book written in their cerebellum. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but we'll see calls from hands like JTo too. Can't neglect to factor that in (not disputing your overall point). [/ QUOTE ] Bingo. I think donkish older guys call somewhat often with QJ or JT here. edit: And apparently so do pros with 98s.
