Re: Important: E-mail pokerstars about SnG changes.
[ QUOTE ]
I've used rakeback and I'm sad to see it's gone BUT one thing that always bothered me is how unfair it is. Why should some people make more/less depending on who they know and where they sign up? So I actually think it's much more fair for a site to give everybody the same deal, based on volume. It could be a VIP program like Stars, or some kind of rakeback through the site itself. Of course the whole point of rakeback schemes is to get affiliates to get players, but as a player, I like everybody getting the same deal. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with all of this. |

Peronsally I'd rather the sites give affliates (and affliates give to people in the know), higher % then give out a lower % rakeback to everyone including fish. |

For supernova it should come out to like 27% rakeback. |

Peronsally I'd rather the sites give affliates (and affliates give to people in the know), higher % then give out a lower % rakeback to everyone including fish. [/ QUOTE ] I think that's a silly argument. Yes, some people know how to play poker better, and they make more money. But the cards are dealt equally to everyone and the best player wins. But I think that's completly different than one person making more than another just because he happens to be on good terms with a better or fairer affiliate. This also gives poker a bad reputation when it comes out that some people were getting more than others, and some people had their affiliates steal their money and go out of business, etc. I think it is better for everyone to have everyone play under the same financial terms, with the best player winning. Yes, Vegas will give better treatment to a big money player, and sportsbooks will too. But for the most part everyone pays the same vig in those games, as is the case in the WSOP and B and M poker. So a VIP program is great, but I think it makes online poker look really bad when one player is paying one price per hand and another is paying more, regardless of how much they play or how good they play, but rather just who they know. |

Re: Important: E-mail pokerstars about SnG changes.
if i get 5,000,000 points i will almost definitely get the aston martin, if i haven't bought a car i am *very* happy with prior to that.
otherwise when i have 5000000 points i will get pokerstars to give me something else totally balla, like a down payment on a house. citanul |

[ QUOTE ] Something like $1500 for 100K FPPS? [/ QUOTE ] It's 100K to buy a bonus, which is 10,500 base (not 3.5x) FPP for $1,500... Which if my math is correct ~19.19% "rakeback." Yeah, you use to get higher on PP... So who cares? Stop complaining about no RB. Seriously. (this isn't directed at OP or anyone else, just a general feeling). I think I'm sticking with Amazon FPP anyways - I'm really liking them [/ QUOTE ] have you been selling your amazon cards? i bought a crapload of them when i heard they were going away and now i'm starting to regret it. |

Re: Important: E-mail pokerstars about SnG changes.
Just don't flood the Ebay market with them. When only 1 or 2 are up at a time they go for like 92% of face value, but if there are several available you might only get like 82%
