Anyhow, I quit when I was 19 or so, but I can probably still skate the pants off of any of you, and probably play better hockey, too.

I'd be very surprised if any non-professional female is better at hockey than I am. Did you ever play pro, or national team or anything like that?

OK, I had pictures on my computer so here they are:

New pads are Vaughn Velocitys that I love. Got a great deal on them.
Look at size difference lol

New pants I got on Ebay, they are Martin Gerber's pants that he had on the Ducks, that is why they are purple. Amazing protection though.

New chest protecter, it is a Brown 2100 and is the best on the market for protection.

New glove and blocker, both Vaughn also, they are great.

And the mask is custom made (I had to send a mold of my head to him in Montreal and he makes a mask to fit me. He is the same guy that does Luongo's masks and some other pros too.

Ha, I know, my old stuff was 10+ yrs old and not made for composite sticks, it got to the point I was flinching on every slapshot. Now I am not scared at all, what a great feeling.

I could hit a double toe loop when i was 11 but stopped because I finally got to the age where kids would make fun of me.

At first I was, but then I realized that not a lot of people who can't skate would bother to click on a link about skating just to vote "no" and say "no".

You might be surprised to learn that I was kidding. I can, however, handle a puck decently and still skate pretty fast.

On a related note, my dad was almost drafted by the NHL when he was 19 though. Instead, he dropped out of high school, moved to Western Canada and became a rig pig. The upside is that he had me, and may not have if he had played hockey.

pretty sure there's less than 5 professional female hockey players in the world. (Hailey Wickenheiser and that goalie from a while ago are the only two I can think of)

I'd say 50% of the people who voted can skate only think they can skate.
