Wow, with GB losing and Seattle getting just plain owned, does this make the Skins the #2 team in the NFC? NFC is such a joke hahahaha.

I think it probably does. I think the Skins have a real chance of being very good by the end of the year. Obviously a TON depends on what Campbell turns into, but he looked ok today. Not great, but ok. And if Portis is healthy, and the defense plays like that, they have to be a legit SB contender in the NFC. I think we'll know a LOT more after next week, when WAS plays at GB and DAL plays at NE. If NE crushes and WAS can manage to win at Lambeau, I think its safe to say WAS is a legit contender.

Wash @ GB next week.

I think we'll know soon enough.

Sun 9/9 Miami W 16-13
Mon 9/17 at Philadelphia W 20-12
Sun 9/23 NY Giants L 17-24
bye
Sun 10/7 Detroit W 34-3
Sun 10/14 at Green Bay 1:00 pm
Sun 10/21 Arizona 1:00 pm
Sun 10/28 at New England 4:15 pm
Sun 11/4 at NY Jets 1:00 pm
Sun 11/11 Philadelphia 1:00 pm
Sun 11/18 at Dallas 1:00 pm
Sun 11/25 at Tampa Bay 1:00 pm
Sun 12/2 Buffalo 1:00 pm
Thu 12/6 Chicago 8:15 pm
Sun 12/16 at NY Giants 8:15 pm
Sun 12/23 at Minnesota 1:00 pm
Sun 12/30 Dallas 1:00 pm

Split with Dallas, win 1 out of these 3: @TB, @GB, @NE, win 2 out of these 3: @NYG, @NYJ, @Min, win 3 out of these 4 home games: Chi, Buff, ARi, Philly.

That seems very reasonable to me and it'd put them at 10-6.

Any word on Antwaan Randle El's status? He didn't play the second half due to a sore hamstring.

The Post said that Marcus Washington (hamstring), Fred Smoot (burner) and Philip Daniels (separated shoulder) are all expected to play next Sunday at Green Bay.

ARE is expected to play on Sunday, as is Santana Moss.

I'm losing confidence in our offense. Jason Campbell is looking better every week but he's not getting any help from the receivers. Bold prediction: 160 yards won't be enough to win vs New England.

Defense continues to impress me though.

I think our O-Line is just too beat up. JC looks good but the other guys are not contributing. Hopefully we can split the next two and be 5-3 at the halfway mark.

Defense is so ridiculously good, its just not fair how the offense doesn't support them. The O-line, like you said, is way too beat up. Too many injuries means we can't effectively run the ball, and the Skins entire (super)conservative offensive gameplan is designed around the run opening up the pass.

Not too excited for next week. We don't really have anyone who can stop Moss. I'm hoping that Taylor somehow injures either him or Brady on a huge hit.

The lack of recent interest in this thread pretty much mirrors how people in the DC area feel about the Redskins.

I don't understand why our offense is so incompetent. I don't think that's on Jason Campbell. We need to take the handcuffs off of him. It must be the O-Line, right? Or the playcalling?
