No please. Not for any 17th inning plays at the plate either.

If you reviewed every close play in baseball, games would drag on even longer than they do.

Brenly, we don't have "mojo" or "clutch ability" or "a winning mentality" or whatever. We've been lucky with hits in key situations...it's a five game series...please stop talking.

They would probably overrule 1 non ball/strike call every 3 or 4 games. Baseball umpires do an excellent job.

Also, Chip apparently thinks a can of corn to left field is "well hit."

yankees fans,

this is incredibly standard stuff from byrd.

Agreed. Although, I am very surprised to see it against the Yankees. Paul Byrd is a quality 3rd starter as he is a gamer and knows how to get people out, but his strength lies in being able to beat the teams that he is supposed to beat. Sick gritty performance.

Also, I am so sick of hearing how lucky or whatever the Tribe is. This is with the possible exception of Boston the best pitching staff in the bigs, furthermore they are a very gritty team who never quits (which was shown in game 2.)

Out of curiousity, is this the best 1-2 punch since the 02 D-Backs? Where does it line up to them? Obviously, RJ and Shilling have much more effective track records, but CC already has 100 wins at the ripe age of 27 and is just now at the prime of his career, and Fausto has the nastiest stuff since Pedro's glory days.

If they in fact close this series tonight, I think we are headed for a classic ALCS.
