all is not lost i suppose, if anything at least we have decent shots against westbrook/byrd...if the yankee offense doesn't wake up then, then we just [censored] sucked.

i don't know why we didn't switch pettitte with wang, they'll obv dry the grass for wang and wet it for carmona, why not pitch wang against carmona? opponents are def doing something to the grass against wang though, his numbers aren't too different in away games, but his hits given up are significantly higher. please to be pitching wang in game 4 at home if we get there...

[/ QUOTE ]

how do you know that it's away teams doctoring the grass and not the HOME team?

[/ QUOTE ]

oh, well i guess that's a possibility too. either way, makes sense to make wang starts either against another groundball pitcher when away, or try to exclusively start him at home

I don't know if this has been discussed yet....But why is Westbrook pitching game 3 and not Byrd?

[/ QUOTE ]

Because Westbrook is better than Byrd?

Just as a reminder Jeter struckout in the 9th as well.

Kos,
You realize if you went to this game, you would be outside with those bugs.

Also unclutch drop by Arod ldo.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just got back, the bugs weren't in the stands. They were only on the field and up in the lights.

+180??? Jeez. That seems way high. Clemens has pitched 7 or more innings 3 times this year, averaging 5.5 per start and had a 4.2 ERA. With a shaky pen thats not looking good for the Yanks, and Westbrook isn't a scrub pitcher at all.

Kyle if you had bet 100$ on game one and rolled it on through to game 3 at +115 +117 and +180 you would have won 1206... so I guess you lost out on 6$ in EV by betting on the sweep . Any Plans to hedge?

i don't care how tall they leave the grass at yankee stadium, it's not stopping those line drives the indians hit. there is something to the wang home/away split, but field conditions didn't have anything to do with thursday night - the ball wasn't sinking.

Wow. What a night. My first trip to the Jake and this game was nerve racking... I was ten rows off the field about 15 yards behind third base. Had a couple of bugs in the mouth. You can't win if you don't hit or score runs. Back to NY in the morning.

Did you fly in just for the game? If so, that's a straight up balla move.
