I like #1 a lot better. A7o isn't too great if you expect to get called. It's probably still a shove there, but I'm not thrilled to have to do it.

you do realize hero only has 6.7 BB and the SB is raising any two cards and there are no shortstacks?

6-man bubbles are even more severe than 9-man. Minraise could be monster. Villian could feel committed or like he doesn't want to be exploited and do exactly what he did. Like I said I still shove but I'm not salivating all over myself about it. Just like I wouldn't be about calling a shove here.

Put him on top 75%. What's the ICM on calling a shove?

+ a lot with A7o... It can be a bad if he's on a tighter range though.

wow, you must really be on a downswing if you think either of those hands are bad

[/ QUOTE ]

If you are on a sick downswing then those are completely standard.

Since being staked for the $16s, I'm 43/90 ITM with 33 HU appearances.

If anybody sees me playing cash games ever again, can you politely remind me that I suck at cash and rule at SNGs? Thanks.

Keep this up...or else!

[/ QUOTE ]

Somebody needs to keep your BR stable.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah because it sure as hell isn't me. I might as well stake my entire BR out.

Well now I'm curious. Can you someone put it in SNGPT/SNGWiz (with 6-man structure) and find out? Also what is the breakeven range of calling a shove?

It's +3.2% if he's on top 75%. Villain pushing top 34% is about the breakeven for us with the A7.

I have an unrelated question. A guy that I know I'm better than offered me an even chop at blinds 100/200 with antes and stacks as follows:
Him 8400
Me 5100
Is this always a good deal for me?

I'd take the chop just to save 20 minutes.

chipchucker,

you're guaranteed second place money so really all you're talking about is chopping the additional 20% that 1st gets over second, (in other words you may as well think about 2nd as getting zero). Lets say you're playing for $100. ICM says that he'll get 1st 62.22% and you win 37.78% (expected, with equal skill). His offer is EV zero if you (in reality through skill edge) expect to win 50% of the time instead of 37%.

At this point you should be able to answer the question yourself.
