I'll vouch for Fionn, he was having computer problems all week prior to this disconnect.

And he doesn't fold overpairs

yeah well, we had been playing for quite some time and this was the only disconnect you had so blow me chimp.

and lol btw, you would have folded so fast that it would make your little nit-chimphat spin off, when the inevitable turn push would have been made by me. QQ the nuts for you? hillarious

dude, you are way out of line going off and accusing him of being an outright cheat based on one hand. ive played hours of poker w Chimp_That recently and he has never pulled this on me. to get so bent out of shape based on only one hand is just overkill, and to report him for this without any corrobarating evidence is bs imo.

fwiw, my isp has recently been dropping me out of hands a decent amount. i keep complaining but apparently its something to do with the cables to out house not being able to always keep up with my new connection speed. ppl have had a go at me, but i have NEVER and will never use DP as a weapon. that is just low. i would actually prefer if the DP tables didnt exist at all.

in future, if someone you play against a lot DP's, make a note of it. if it happens a couple more times, then contact party support. and yeah, maybe ur better off discussing this over pm rather than slamming him here. it makes you look like a real douche bag.

thanks for the support guys. since we were 200bb deep to an unknown i can kinda see why it looks dodgy, but (not that i feel i neccessarily have to defend myself, but i will anyway) i can assure you this was genuine. The experience i have with karelen it would not surprise me for him to raise with any overpair here, any draw, overs etc. So i would atleast call the flop and probably c/c on a safe turn. I agree this should have been done by pm, but w/e.

Thank you for contacting us.

We appreciate you taking the time to report situations of alleged
disconnect protection abuse at PartyPoker.com.

Starting with the hand(s) that you sent to us, we performed an
investigation that would allow us to examine thoroughly the account in
question; *Chimpanzee_that*

We have looked into the players records and collected all previous hands
in which this player used the protection. Our goal was to look for a
pattern where the player usually disconnects in key moments.

Some of the parameters we use when investigating possible protection
abuse:

? The player*s cards at the time of disconnection.
? The player*s previous action (whether he was betting/raising) and also
the actions of the other players at the time of disconnection.
? The benefit obtained by a player disconnecting
? The timing of disconnection
? A players pattern of disconnections
? Previous allegations made by other players and/or the system

Using the information listed above we have investigated the history of
the player thoroughly and have found that not only was the hand you
reported suspicious but this player has shown a pattern of suspicious disconnects in the past . Based on this information we have taken away
the disconnect protection privilege for this player. In the event he is
disconnected in the future his hand will be folded. We have sent an
email to the player informing him of the investigation.

touche. although now im worried that this could happen to me if i drop off in a decent sized pot and someone reports me. i dont really want to be seen as a cheat, but w/e, if it happens it happens.

fwiw, even tho party has removed the DP, i dont necessarily think it means Chimp_That is cheating. very easy for a few poorly timed drop off to look like foul play i would think. although i guess its a moot point if his DP has been taken away anyway.

I have just pm'ed Karalen about this, but i will let you guys know some of what i said,
i admit last summer i had a dp ban due to a drunken tiltish night at $50nl or $100nl (i forget which) when i kept disconnecting on this one player who was d/c on me and berating me (yes, hypocritical i know lol). Anyway, i was stupid, and i regret it of course but w/e. I have done nothing of the sort since (since i never let myself play after even 1 beer) and i will make sure it never happens again.

As for this incident...i stand by my claim it was 100% genuine, what more can i say. I have no email from Party yet btw so this could be all bs from karalen, but it is possible since in a vacuum the hand does look a little suspicious. But i can assure you it was not.

If i do get an email from Party (i have still not received one which is looking a little fishy), i of course will email them to claim my innocence

lol...i've read over this and it looks like i'm really defensive, when i'm really not! I couldn't really care less what this guy thinks (btw i was actually shocked he was a 2p2'er, he's pretty damn loose). I would have rather done it by pm, but w/e, it's finished with now hopefully (and i still have no email from party...)

edit: i forgot to add the obligitory - hu for rolls?
