Re: Mr. Gatorade’s Lies cost me over 70k at Full Tilt
[ QUOTE ]
FTPDoug sent me a long email summing up most of the anecdotal evidence against Beatme and the chain of alleged bots that they shut down. He did not show me any of the hard evidence from Support...just a summary of the case so far. One piece of evidence in particular that is not mentioned here is particularly damning. It definitely goes beyond MrGatorade's initial accusations (although they obviously played a role in bringing it to FTP's attention). If I were a FTP representative, based on the information Doug told me I would confiscate the funds of everyone involved as well. [/ QUOTE ] Well, its great that someone without an axe to grind or a financial interest has reviewed at least a summary of what the case is about, and believes that it is the right decision. Now, if the process could be solidified with an opportunity for the account holder to refute the evidence that would IMHO put the issue to bed for future controversies. It may be that the nature of certain evidence is simply pretty darn irrefutable, and it sounds like this case may be one of those. But the process--whatever that should consist of--needs to play itself out in the future in a uniform, predictable, fair manner. |

It's taken us two weeks of a lot of bitching to get us even a cursory explanation. [/ QUOTE ] Why are WE OWED AN EXPLANATION? Why are YOU OWED an explanation? FT owes you nothing in this matter. I'd love to see the damning evidence as well but have the sense to realize it's none of my business. BO |

I agree with Sethypooh and EHG. Great to hear the evidence sounds damning, I think most of us thought it would be. It's all about the process. There has to be SOME way (other than KGC lol) for an accused player to appeal, no matter how damning the evidence.

BO [/ QUOTE ] Well, I'm owed nothing actually, since I have no $ on FTP. And it will remain that way, with this incident as one of the reasons (it's a symptom rather than the disease itself). You don't think you are owed assurances that they won't just take your money? Many people in this thread are like those who say "I believe in free speech, but he should still go to jail for saying that." |

Re: Mr. Gatorade’s Lies cost me over 70k at Full Tilt
All poker sites have the same process. Poker Stars, FTP, UB, Party all have the same processes. They investigate, review, and determine what the punishment will be in all cases. If you want a better way then I suggest the US regulate it as I see this is the only way to satisfy the people that want "process".
For the conclusion of this thread: Use a bot, get caught, lose money and get banned. Simple as that. As quoted from the movie Casino "Cheaters Justice". I have been cheated; most people here have probably unknowingly been cheated. In the future if the bots are not stopped then online poker will be ruined by the taint of suspicion and "deep blue" like computer opponents. What new fish/current fish wants to join an atmosphere where they risk their own money only to get beat by a computer? I whole heartedly believe that the bot problem which is the #1 problem in online poker today will grow worse unless action is taken NOW. Poker sites will start to see the "Light" and the financial impact it will have as the problem worsens and hopefully implement better anti-bot technology. I HATE BOTS! -MrGatorade (Crazy Mike) |

For the conclusion of this thread: Use a bot, get caught, lose money and get banned. Simple as that. [/ QUOTE ] Like Teddy's Mom and the guy from WPEX who were both subjected to false positives? Its not simple at all. Fools like to simplify complicated issues. It may be one dimensional to you, as the Don Quixote of Bot Hunting, but I think that there are many other players who realize that this is a difficult balancing act with several competing interests, not the least of which is the account holder's right to assurances that his/her money is safe from seizure due to "false positives." Pretending a complicated issue is simple doesn't get you any closer to solving the problem. |

Re: Mr. Gatorade’s Lies cost me over 70k at Full Tilt
I see nothing wrong with the process, FT owes 2p2 nothing which is why it took 'two weeks of bitching' they proved that he was a bot to an appropriate confidence to seize funds, Gildwulf agreed, not to mention they arent keeping the 70k its being redistributed. So exactly where your problem lies Seth I dont know. You seem to want everything done instantly but then your overly concerned with false positives which makes me think you are:
a. an idiot b. trolling c. beatme1 d. have some vested interest in the situation You also said you have no money on FT, I have thousands of dollars on FT and Im not worried about it at all and I dont think anyone should be worried. |

Re: Mr. Gatorade’s Lies cost me over 70k at Full Tilt
Ive heard a decent amount of the evidence and it is pretty damning. Either it is a 100,000 - 1 coincidence, Beatme1 ran a bot or FT are making up the evidence they have.
