Do you 4bet the river?
Villain seems aggro and decent but has spewed before (HU though)

Why aren't we 4betting though? Are we really not ahead of his range >50% of the time?

your line is a flush like 100% of the time and he doesn't care. you 3-bet the flop for a free card, the flush hit on the river, and you raised his bet.

That was exactly my thought process during the hand. I just started wondering afterwards if I gave villain to much credit. I guess erring on the cautious side isn't that bad when it comes to 4 betting.

I'd cap given your read fwiw
the only hands that villain can have that beat you are 22/33 (which he probably raises preflop some of the time) and there are lots of worse flushes he could he spewing with. we only need to be ahead 51% of the time because he's never folding and we don't fear a reraise

edit: 22 and 33 will often cap the flop too

Whee!!!

Schneids just might be onto something with this "you can't bluff me" idea.

Villian is crazy LAG regular who just stand on the gas pedal and has an especially wide range from the button... I kind of have to play calling station against him on this board. 30/22 over 650 hands.

PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, Button calls.

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
Hero has 9c As (high card, ace).
Button has 9s 5s (high card, jack).
Outcome: Hero wins 10.16 BB. </font>

This one was (IMO) more borderline. Ignore the PF raise... was trying to isolate a bad player as the blinds were tight. Also early in session so I was still fostering an image. BB was 25/15 at the time. River A made this call easier... not sure if I make it otherwise.

I just played 112 hands of HU vs this guy:

vpip: 80%
pfr: 5.3%

AF
pre: 0.05
flop: 1.13
turn: 2.36
river: 3.71

He would spew like crazy, make bad bluffs and couldn't hand read worth a damn. TPTK for him means capping every street, no matter what the board reads.

I had him close to all-in but then he comes back to win almost every hand. I end up losing 25 bets before I had to quit. His won at SD % ended up at 66%.
