[ QUOTE ]
1) it's a shame that the EPL championship is decided because Chelsea had a bad game against Boro (or Man U had a bad game against West Ham). [/ QUOTE ] the beauty of a league format is that no team is going to wim because of one good/bad game |

It's not nearly as true for the NBA playoffs. [/ QUOTE ] the nba playoffs still have their problems, retarded seeding (although it was improved this year) and teams are divided by conferences so in a best case scenario you get the two best teams in each conference which most of the time isn't even close to being #1 vs #2. Some league needs to implement a double bracket format, winner and losers bracket with a 7 game series seems very likely to produce a fair champion in most sports. |

[/ QUOTE ] That's really more of a problem with the United States being 3 time zones wide. The NBA could get rid of conferences and do an even round-robin with each team playing each other 2.8 times, then seed the top 16 (or 8 or 4) straight-up for the playoffs if nobody cared about the travel costs. As far as the EPL goes, if #1 regularly finishes 8-10 wins above #4 in a 38-game season then a 4-team playoff would certainly be unnecessary, but there can't be too much wrong with a 2-team playoff in most years. |

To be honest, the lack of playoffs in the EPL doesn't bother me. If there wasn't a playoffs in baseball or football, it would probably bother me. I personally like the EPL format and league structure the most, so if the NFL was like that, it could be a better league IMO.

The way that I see it, soccer does have playoffs (The cup competitions, and the Champions league). It's just that in soccer, there is more prestige in winning the regular season (the league). I like how they have both competitions, and I think it would be awsome if American sports were structured this way.

Sevilla are right now taking to Spurs all be sealing the tie in the 7th minute going up 0-2 (1-4 on aggregate).
Beyond making a braggy post, one thing is that the camera is excellent. I think it has to do with the ground at White Hart Lane somehow forcing the camera to be higher than usual, but it's higher and more zoomed out than usual. Makes the terrible announcers tolerable. |

Yeah they need to score 4 more goals than Sevilla in the next 70 minutes and Sevilla have all the play right now.
