by rule,
that should be a TD!!!!!!!!!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

offense never lost possession

receiver went up and got the ball...
doesn't matter the defender had more of it

they both had the ball

that's a catch and a TD by the NFL rules

of course, the NFL doesn't follow rules, so it's unsurprising

[/ QUOTE ]

On the one replay you could see that the defender had the ball firmly wrapped up in his gut, and the Driver had like barely one hand on it. That does not count as joint posession. It wasn't that the Bears guy had "more" of it it was that he had it and the other guy was kind of touching it.

[/ QUOTE ]

lol....Driver had both hands on it from the highest point

they caught the ball together....doesn't matter how much it was in the defender's gut

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know what to say, thats not what it looked like at all on the one replay, the one that had the best angle. Its possible that I, and everyone else in this thread, is just completely blind.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's pretty clear that you are wrong on most everything

one of the other posters is a Bears fan

not sure about the person with the norcal location

[/ QUOTE ]

I hate the bears. The view from the other end zone was clear. The defender had sole possession when he hit the ground.

This is the view I was talking about and this is exactly what I saw as well.

This is correct.

Driver INITIALLY has two hands on it (as does the defender), but falling down, Driver removes one hand from the ball.

Their momentum as they fall makes it so that Driver is behind the defender. He (driver) is still reaching around, but only with one hand. When they land, he re-places his second hand on the ball, and the tug 'o war ensues.

I watched the replay in slow mo on DVR one frame at a time

Driver goes up and gets it at the highest point

Bears defender actually reclutches from an overhand to underhand grip to try and pull it away from Driver who has it while Urlacher is hitting Driver

Official who is screened by Urlacher rushes in with the call

LMAO

Its cool, I'm sure I'm just being blinded by the video and the replays and somehow missing the "little things." Also, I bet "everybody knows Driver had it," so I don't know why I'm even arguing in the first place, right?

Where? Actually, this is hilarious since you are the only one who has made a personal attack, the "I must be living right because vhawk disagrees" thing. Nothing I've said could be construed as a personal attack.
