Re: My iPhone review (long)
You can go to the store and buy one of these. Why are they still selling for a premium on ebay?

Re: My iPhone review (long)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] AT&T is a silly company. They have a bad reputation when it comes to their customer service (on any thing they offer). I mean they changed the freaking name from Cingular back to AT&T. You can obviously see there a few screws loose in the top management. [/ QUOTE ] Cingular bought out the AT&T company and thought that its name branding would be better recognized/accepted than Cingular, what's wrong with that? [/ QUOTE ] AT&T merged with Cingular like 4 years ago. There were two separate cellphone companies (AT&T Wireless and Cingular), they folded AT&T into Cingular for 3 or so years, and then they changed their mind and are now calling everything AT&T. That is not a sign of a company that has everything going smoothly. [/ QUOTE ] I was using this information: AT&T Mobility LLC (usually branded "AT&T,"[3] and formerly named Cingular Wireless LLC) is the wholly owned wireless subsidiary of AT&T Inc.[4] AT&T Mobility is the largest mobile phone company in the United States and Puerto Rico. [5] AT&T Mobility has 62 million subscribers as of 2007, and operates the largest digital voice and data network in the United States.[6] Formerly a joint venture between SBC Communications and BellSouth, Cingular Wireless soon acquired the old AT&T Wireless; SBC later acquired the original AT&T and rebranded as "the new AT&T". Cingular became wholly-owned by the new AT&T in December 2006 as a result of AT&T's acquisition of BellSouth. The division is currently in the process of being rebranded to match its new parentage. Renaming on a corporate level occurred immediately, and consumer branding will change to "AT&T," or a variant thereof, by the end of 2007. Until all regulatory filings are approved, however, and public awareness is fostered, the "Cingular" brand will continue to be used in store signage and media advertisements during a dual-branded transition, expected to last several months. This process began January 15, 2007 If its wrong then I apologize, but after reading it the merging time you quoted (4 years ago) seems off and that they just recently completed the takeover. |
