Stuff I've heard recently:

-Fedor is supposed to make a decision by the end of the month (LOL just like August)

-The UFC have signed or are close to signing Ricardo Arona and Ryo Chonan

-Andrei Arlovski has one fight left on his contract and his more or less being held hostage until he signs a new deal

-Rickson Gracie wants to fight again. Kazushi Sakuraba called him out at the last K-1 HEROES show.

Thoughts on recent cards:

EliteXC and K-1 HEROES both put on pretty solid cards this weekend. You can find most of the fights on DailyMotion.

I enjoyed UFC 75. I've made my thoughts clear on Bisping/Hamill (I don't think it's as big a travesty as others), but Hendo/Rampage was extremely entertaining and lived up to my expectations. Mikro Cro Cop pretty much solidified that he'll retire in mediocrity.

Yeah, but who the hell cares about Rickson vs. Sakuraba anymore? Both are incredibly washed up. Rickson dckktucked however many years ago when Sak was in his prime and killing the gracies, and NOW that Sak is a big can for sure, Rickson wants to fight him. I just have no interest.

Arlovski is definitely being held hostage, even more so after his snoooooooooooozefest with Werdum.

I've heard Sakurai and Chonan rumors, but i've heard that the UFC did NOT offer Arona. He's kinda LnP sometimes, and the UFC wasnt interested for whatever reason.

GOD PLEASE i want fedor really badly. Fedor vs. Randy IS the superbowl of mma.

I figured it would be big news that more states are now accepting sanctioned MMA fights.

From 411mania.com:

Ricardo Arona to sign with UFC?

According to the Brazilian fight magazine Tatame, decorated PRIDE light heavyweight and Brazilian Top Team member, Ricardo Arona, may be close to signing with the UFC. This would be a more than welcome addition to an already stacked light heavyweight division in the UFC. Arona has fought and defeated some of the best competition in his weight class and he is a very strong wrestler and jiu jitsu player. If he comes to the UFC, there's already bad blood between his camp and Chute Boxe. You can expect fireworks.

True stuff. The past 6 months with Fedor has been a goddamn roller coaster.
