U guys are being very very dumb about this satking situation if you give him 60k and he plays 25-50 that is essientally 10 buyins....What if he happens to lose, are you all assuming Boooosted cant lose below 25-50 with only 10 buyins?

Faith,

Do yourself a favor and talk to an attorney. In fact, if I were you, I probably wouldn't post any more in this thread until you talk to an attorney.

[/ QUOTE ]

I disagree. This type of thing is generally settled more effectively out of court.

Talking to an attorney does not equal settling in court. An attorney is more likely to help him settle effectively out of court, and Filth is less likely to get screwed over.

I didn't mean literally "in court," but I don't know that a lawyer will bring about a more effective or efficient resolve in these uncharted waters involving weird debts. But I do believe the ethics of being a poker player will win out in the end, and Boosted or someone on his behalf will pay.

That said, I did recently meet a Vegas lawyer who might be able to help. PM me for his number.

this is for bkholdem - was meant to be in his reatrded thread.

ok, so i just want to point out how dumb you are. it's not like i really need to, because everyone else knows, but just for my sake:

if we were drawing up "sides" in the boosted debacle, then a huge majority of us would find ourselves on the same side as you, yet we all still hate you.

the reason, moron, is this: YOU HAVE DONE YOUR BEST TO GIVE BOOSTED EVERY POSSIBLE DISTRACTION FROM DEALING WITH THE TRUTH. your innane ramblings about having people beaten up, living in bad neighborhoods and whatever else, have served only to take away from the issue and have allowed boosted and his supporters to sidestep crucial questions. please go away.

I'm surprised no one else mentioned this, but it seems particularly bad that bj turned the loan into a stake AFTER losing some of it. If nothing else bj should at least be responsible for the first 15k since he lost it on a loan. You could counter that people have a right to make any deal they want and turning this 15k from debt into makeup was part of it, but it definitely gives a little more weight to the "bj took advantage of him" argument.

tex - the questions on your poll aren't the right ones and any type of poll will simply add to the distraction from real issues. i think we are all aware of where the majority of people here stand.
