[ QUOTE ] I was thinking of proposing the following trade - mentioned the situation above. Guy has to deal Ortiz. I get: Ortiz, Jake Peavy He gets: Cameron, Javier Vazquez, Rivera Good deal for me right? Cameron is on my bench, I also have 4 outfielders ahead of him. Have Saito and can probably pick up Hermanson or someone on waivers if I need saves. [/ QUOTE ] seems like a pretty amazing deal for, id probably veto it if was another team. also, who do you have as your 1b/util for now? [/ QUOTE ] I have Giambi at 1B and Ordonez at UTIL. My bench is Helms (1B/3B), Orlando Hudson, Mike Cameron, and Johjima. I wouldn't be surprised to have this one get rejected, but based on the draft I'm not convinced anyone knows what they're doing so I figured I'd start low. Plus he has to move Ortiz cause he can't play him. If this gets rejected I think my next offer would probably be Rivera, Cameron and Randy Johnson for Ortiz and Peavy. How's that? Feeling pretty good about my team so far. |

I'll throw in a "rate my draft" if you're not completely tired of these yet.
5x5, H2H, 10 teams, $300 cap. Will be a keeper league, but this is the first year so none yet. C: Joe Mauer ($33) 1B: Richie Sexson ($11) 2B: Robinson Cano ($25) 3B: Troy Glaus ($12) SS: Jimmy Rollins ($34) OF: Carl Crawford ($40) OF: Michael Cuddyer ($8) OF: Brad Hawpe ($6) Util: Rafael Furcal ($10) Util: Delmon Young ($6) Bench: Overbay, Chavez, Byrnes, Pierzynski (all cheap) SP: Jeremy Bonderman ($17) SP: John Lackey ($10) SP: Dontrell Willis ($11) RP: Francisco Cordero ($12) RP: Chad Cordero ($7) RP: J.J. Putz ($12) P: Rich Hill ($4) P: Randy Johnson ($4) P: Derek Lowe ($3) P: Chris Capuano ($12) Bench: Brad Penny, Matt Capps I think the three closers I have are all gonna be fairly solid, but should I try to pick up one or two more to replace some of my starters? Is Capps probably gonna close from day one? Do you put any stock in Sexson's terrible spring? Might Overbay be a better Opening Day option? Any big glaring holes I should try to fix up before Sunday? |

I am in a 10 team competitive keeper league. Should I take the offer of me getting Baldelli and Hamels for Delmon Young? I already have Santana, Halliday, and Carpenter as my top starters.

Only someone with no clue about fantasy would accept a trade like the ones you are offering. Just because he cannot start Ortiz does not mean he should give him AND Peavy away for the crap you are offering him. If he has some idea of how fantasy baseball is played, I would not offer these trades as they are pretty insulting. You originally asked what fair value would be. Normally I would say offering Manny for Ortiz straight up, which would still benefit you, but you wouldn't have a replacement LF. In this case, if you could get Ortiz for Damon and Rivera that would be a win. |

Your Mom: Basically, what happened is a bunch of guys blew all their money early, and realizing this, I sorta laid back after I got a few of the big names I wanted so I could get medium-good players super-cheap.
