I am one of the few Red Sox fans who really doesn't care for Varitek. There is no way he was hustling down the line and still ended up that far short of first base, he is a slow-ass catcher, but he isn't in a wheelchair.

You can get pitcher per plate appearance at the hard ball times (along with almost everything else you need). They have it for individual players or for each team (scroll down to team batting stats). They refer to it as P/PA, the AL average is 3.8 and Boston and Cleveland are 1 and 2 with 3.95 and 3.94 respectively.
