lol at how chim wouldnt even bet me even though hes so sure rockies will win tomorrrow. if ur still there ill give you 2:1 on ur money also

[/ QUOTE ]

Look I'm wasted but I will say this like it is.

I would take 2:1 against anyone but you. I have never used ignore but you are worth using it on. You are a (insert really mean and degrading adjective here) troll, and I wouldn't bet you if you laid me 100:1 because you are worthless. If Kidcolin, KB4z, NT, etc wanted to bet sure.. they are fun and I think we win tomorrow more often than 1 in 3 or whatever. But you are ridic and I would not be too upset if you fell off the face of 2p2.

With that I'm out. gg red sox, you guys are a great team, go rockies I think we have a shot still.

Later.

The Red Sox definitely needed to win more tonight, because tonight's game was where the matchups were most in their favor.

[/ QUOTE ]

i actually think this was a pretty good matchup for the rockies on paper tonight. i don't think we are more of a favorite in game 1 with beckett than we are with dice k versus whomever in game 3 simply because francis is usually waaaayyyy better than whoever that guy is.

but whatever, gg sox

[/ QUOTE ]

Also I disagree with this. Beckett is so much better than anyone alive righ tnow. Schilling is hittable (I am excited for this matchup, I DREADED becketts matchiP), Dice-K is definitely hittable, Beckett is a baby Jesus.

Pack it in tonight and do it again tomorrow. Schill can be hit, I can't see any kid blowing heat by the Sox all night long either.

I'm really sick of analysts not lacing into Skinner for holding up Lofton. Oooh Fenway is weird. F that. All you need to see is where the ball is in relation to Manny and how far along Kenny is. It was an easy call and he blew it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm sorry, but I think you're wrong...Let me explain.

My season seat is halfway between the 3rd base dugout and home.

For that play, it happened to be perfectly aligned so that the whole play was directly in front of me.

As Lofton hit the bag, Manny was about a foot from picking up the ball. It was in reasonably shallow left field.

Had Skinner sent Lofton, I believe he would have been out by at least five feet.

The very confusing part of all of this is that when I got home, I watched all the replays, and what they showed was really deceiving, because after reviewing them, it did appear that Skinner should have sent Lofton.

I really don't know how to explain the disparity from what they showed vs. what I saw, but I saw what I saw.

FWIW, I've spent many hours over the last 30 years in the 3rd base coaching box, and I would have held him up to, given what I saw from the stands.

The throw for Manny to the plate was an easy no-brainer, and given his arm, it would have been an easy, accurate one-hopper to Varitek.

Now, I'm not saying that Skinner shouldn't have chanced it (given the game situation) but on the bang-bang decision that a 3rd base coach has to make regarding the odds of safe/out, he made the right choice.
