I played a step 2 yesterday and we were still 7-handed once the blinds reached the 150-300 level (1.500 starting stacks). It felt like we were playing for the PCA seat already.
Needless to say that I pushed AK UTG and got called by Q9o from UTG+1 for the bustout [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I kind of like this idea.

But shouldn't you have a step 1 and step 2 ticket with this strategy? You only play a certain level once you have 2 tickets. If you advance, you leave one ticket behind and so on. So right before you play your step 6, you should have 2 step 6 ticket and one ticket for step 1-5.

I should. I just came up with this idea a couple days ago. I start at step 2's. Before I can move up I have to get another step 3. Eventually I have to fill in the holes.

I just watched a good friend of mine play a round 4 APPT, and I haven't seen play as bad in a sitngo since I was playing $5 sngs on partypoker.

I don't have the HH as the table got closed out and i didn't get a chance to grab it but this hand really, really happened

25/50 blinds w/ 6 left

MP W/~1500 limps, two more limps BB checks

***FLOP***
91010

BB leads for 100
MP raises to 300
folds around
BB tanks and min r/r to 500
MP insta makes it 900
BB tanks and pushes, covering MP
MP tanks and calls

BB shows........pocket sevens

MP shows........pocket queens and holds

I sit there laughing trying to comprehend how... and this was completely representative of the play the entire time. Also saw a guy stack 750 off on the river with QJ high on an all rag board to like a 2Xpot shove, and AK high takes it down with the masterful overvaluebluff

Is the play always this bad or was it just the eurodonks spewin it up? This got off before 8AM

I get so bored about halfway through these things that I do pretty stupid stuff just to try and force the action and end it.. put me in the on the verge of suicide camp

I really wish Stars would just add a couple of Turbos for each
STEP level...what can it hurt?

can't hurt.. but i'd venture to guess they won't do it since this has been so successful.. and the DS0's might officially be extinct this time next year, they always get cancelled ever since Stars put the min 73 players thing on.
