You just choose to do all your red sox trolling with the curse of the a-rod gimmick.

The Curse of ARod is what it is. He has been around for almost two years. He comes arises during Sox/Yanks series only. He was born on: October 21st, 2004 and posted in those threads back then.

Wait, so the fans KNEW that Soriano was one HR away from 40-40?

they were actually cheering because one more HR would elevate his WARP3 for the season into the top 20 seasons by middle infielders (adjusting for park factors, toughness of schedule and studliness of double play tandem LDO)

it was a pretty well-publicized fact, but still. mlb actually robbed him of a chance at it, by cancelling a meaningless game 162.

what's more impressive is that the fans cheered when he got a walk for the first time in like 100 PAs. he was a notorious free swinger, even when the yankees tried to control him. those kinds of stats don't show up much at all.

this still doesn't mean he would get a big cheer for taking a walk.

iirc robinson cano went his first ~50 PAs w/o a walk this year too and got the same hand for his first free pass.

Well when I think of your typical Sox 2p2er I think of Joe Tall and TheTruth.

When I think of your typical Yanks 2p2er I think of Karak and Doug mother [censored] Kim

[/ QUOTE ]

I am no way, shape or form a typical Red Sox fan. I am a season ticket holder for the last 8 years. I have two tickets in my name, dead center field. (In fact, the playoff agreement came today! WOOT!)
Here is my commute to Fenway.

I never boo a player on my own team, in fact, I've been know to tell others to STFU. I NEVER have used the 'Yankee Sucks' chant, that's for typical retarded fans. They Yankees are the greatest sports team EVER! How could they suck? I've been know to say things like, "Steinbrenner is good for baseball." and I mean it.

Stick to tournaments, cause it obvious you can't read a hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't boo Sox players, but I've definitely chanted Yankees sucks , and I would NEVER say the Yankees are the greatest team EVER. I don't think I'd be able to say that without throwing up a little in my mouth. So, if that makes me typical, then I'm proud to be typical.

You guys are confusing "typical x 2p2er" with "typical x".

Congrats guys, you have season tickets!
