I'm pretty sure this was released in the states, if it's too hard I'll give hints.

Correct. You may remember Jackie Earle Haley from such films as The Bad News Bears and Breaking Away (Moocher!).

Cool. Thanks for the recommendation. I just looked it up on Rotten tomatoes and it sounds very interesting. I will look for it when I'm at blockbuster next time. Thanks!

Mona Lisa is okay, but Bob Hoskins's finest moment was the wonderful 'Long Good Friday'. When he goes into rant mode in it, think of me - I rant in exactly the same way, voice and mannerisms.

This is so wrong so very wrong. Hoskins performance in Mona Lisa is much more nuanced and controlled then his over the top hamming in the Long Good Friday, not to mention that Mona Lisa has a much better story to tell and does a better job of telling it.

I agree that Hoskins is at his best in Mona Lisa. The film is far, far from perfect (Phil Collins?? ugh) but he breaks my heart when Simone asks "Didn't you ever need someone?" and George says, voice cracking, "All the time."

Still waiting for somebody to figure out the tongue-woman up there.

Apparently I stink at both ends of this game, but I'll try another-
Name this film and also the actor's most well-known role.
