Re: ***SSNL AUGUST [EMO] THREAD PART 2 ***
Ok, enough of the Kolo drama.
Saw superbad this weekend, both me and a buddie agreed, that overall the movie didn't have the same smooth feel as knocked up(kind of died a lil in the middle), but there were parts in it that you will def. laugh harder at. There were parts in it that I was almost crying I was laughing so hard!! |

Re: ***SSNL AUGUST [EMO] THREAD PART 2 ***
I agree that SuperBad was incredible. There were parts (as worm said) where I couldnt breath because I was laughing so hard. Anyone who hasn't seen it definitely needs to, Michael Cera is a genius.
The second I got done with the movie I literally thought "Man I want to see that movie again" so I"m going to go again on Thursday lol |

Re: ***SSNL AUGUST [EMO] THREAD PART 2 ***
ofishstix asked me this in the SSNL poker thread but I thought it would be more appropriate to answer here [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
[ QUOTE ] shpanko, now that youve graduated, what are you planning on doing if you dont mind my asking [/ QUOTE ] Just got an apartment with a few buddies in down town Denver on the 42nd floor of this apartment building (def baller, pics to come) it has a pool on the roof of the third floor and a full fitness center as well as a few restaraunts on the ground floor which we get discounts at. As for work I will most likely be starting a job at the CU medical center in Novermber being some Doctor's bitch assistant and making 30k per year [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] I'm taking the MCAT's Sept 7th and hopefully will destroy them. I've applied to about 20 med schools and am in the process of filling out secondaries, my first choice is the CU Medical College in Denver but I'd go anywhere good. What about you ofishstix? What have you been up to? Did you go pro? Also do I post enough to get a custom title? I guess I haven't been bringing the emo enough lately to merit one perhaps? |

Re: ***SSNL AUGUST [EMO] THREAD PART 2 ***
Don't know why Kolo needs a new title, it seems more appropriate than ever. Also, did anyone catch the USA today article about homosexuality written by the Baptist minister? I think it's worth a read. http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2006/...eligion_l.html |

Re: ***SSNL AUGUST [EMO] THREAD PART 2 ***
wow youre way ahead of me. at my school, i had to have started the application process/meeting with preprofessional advising nov of my junior year which i was not ready to do. so now im taking a year off and am trying to figure out what to do then.
as of now, im deciding between... -getting a bio masters in a one year program at jhu. i wouldnt need to apply/take gre's, etc which makes it appealing but my advisor told me it wont be a fun year if i dont want to become a professional researcher. so that blows... -get some job at some phamaceutical company where ill make 30-40k and will prolly wanna kill myself. -a slight chance i would "play the circuit" for a year. this depends on my backer still wanting to do this a year from now, on him also going to all the tournies with me cause i dont wanna travel alone for a year, and on what influence this will have on actually getting into med school. taking a year off to play poker sounds sketchy. as of now i still have another year of school left but ive finished all the requirements for graduation so im only taking 3 classes and plan on playing relatively full time. wrt my choices of med schools, assuming i got a 35 or higher (ill hear in a month), im hoping to go to hopkins med, harvard, or somewhere in nyc. btw, bio on the mcat is so much harder than any of the aamc practice tests so just be ready for that. |
