Casino del Sol is having a "Bounty Tournament" series in a couple of weeks. The way it works is 100 people start (and pay $10 each for the bounty pool). After 40 players have been eliminated, you get $10 for every player you eliminate until the final table.

At the final table you are given the option of taking the $100 bounty on yourself and quitting, or staying to try and win the $100 bounty from the remaining players.

It sounds kinda fun, anyone ever play anything like this before?

I played in a tournament with a similar format in Ireland last summer. It was like $50 to get in and then $10 on top of that for "scalps" as they called them. Then every time you knock someone out, they give you their scalp chip which you cash in for $10 a piece when you're done. I thought it was kinda cool...threw a little twist in there.

Is there a prize pool in addition to the bounty? Or is it just the bounty?

And how big is the final table? The numbers do not add up.

It's just the bounty and Final Table is 10. Also they're calling it a 'Free Roll' which is odd because there's an entry fee. But this is the same place that has 'Guarantees' as long as enough people sign up.

$100 x 10 + $10 x 50 > 100 x $10
