[ QUOTE ]
Same league as Aces :

C - Varitek
1B - D. Lee
2B - Weeks
3B - Atkins
SS - J. Reyes
MI - Barfield
CI - Teahen
OF - Baldelli
OF - Drew
OF - Logan
OF - Monroe
U - Hafner

Bench hitters: Shelton and Garko(I plan on probably moving Teahen into the OF once he becomes eligible and putting Garko in assuming he gets regular PT)

We start 5 SP and 5 RP (daily lineup changes), and our IP cap is 1750 (I think).

SP: F. Garcia, R. Oswalt, R. Johnson, R. Harden, Buerhle, C. Lee

RP : Coffey, Farnsworth, Qualls, Orvella, J. Salas, B. Wilson, B. League

Minors :

BATTERS
Jeff Mathis, Miguel Montero, Kurt Suzuki, Justin Huber, Jason Stokes, Dallas McPherson, Alberto Callaspo, Elijah Dukes, Jacoby Ellsbury

PITCHERS
Phillip Humber, Tim Lincecum, Andrew Miller, Jordan Tata

I feel like I have very good Hitting, SP's and minors, obviously relief is a weakspot, but shouldn't be too hard to fill that up.

Thoughts on my team this season? For the future?

[/ QUOTE ]

offense looks reasonably above average, and young. one obvious weak link, but you say he'll be gone soon.

starting pitching also looks good, if subject to huge injury risk. three of your guys are starting the year hurt, and harden will probably spend time on the DL. that makes it only a slightly above average group in my mind.

naturally your relievers are a competitive disadvantage.

maybe it's just me, but i don't see the point in keeping seven relievers. as for the minors, a few arms with nice upside, but not much immediate hope on the batting side. maybe callaspo gets a job eventually or dukes gets a job and some focus.

crystal ball: 5th this year, 3rd next year.

5x5 15 team keeper league (2xC,1B,2B,3B,SS,MI,CI,5xOF,UT,2xSP,2xRP,5xP). A player drafted in year x in round y can be kept in year x+1 in round y-1 and year x+2 in round y-2. After that they are returned to the draft. Traded players keep their keeper status. Another player in the league wants RP and said that Hanley Ramirez is available. Here is my team:
C:Barrett, Montero
1B:Teixeira
2B:Uggla
SS:Jeter
3B:C.Jones
CI: Dan Johnson
MI:Hardy
OFamon, Drew,Willingham,Giles, Victorino
UTeJesus

BN:Kubel, Sledge,Braun

SP:Peavy, Haren, Myers, Wainwright, Oliver Perez
RP: Papelbon, Lidge, Dempster, Zumaya

BN: Mulder, Kuo

I think the team is weak in the MI and in SB, thus HanRam is appealing. Also I have three closers and Zumaya. I have one year left of both Zumaya (can keep next year in round 17) and Papelbon (20), my other RPs don't have great keeper value. HanRam has one year left at round 13. In this setup would Papelbon for HanRam be giving up too much. What about Zumaya for HanRam. Or do you think I could try Lidge and Hardy for HanRam or would that just be an insulting offer?

Or should I sit tight and start the season off as is? What do you think of the team? Any things I should be thinking about as the season starts?

Same league as Aces and Thayer.

C Martin
1B Morneau
2B Hudson
3B Wright
SS Young
MI Pedroia
CI Glaus
OF Beltran
OF Wells
OF Freel
OF Cameron
U Overbay

BN Upton Youkilis Marte Iwamura R. Johnson

SP J. Santana
SP C. Zambrano
SP Hamels
RP Ryan
RP Valverde
RP Shields
RP Duchscherer
RP R. Soriano

BN Westbrook Gorzelanny O. Hernandez K. Rogers Betancourt

Minors
Butler McCutchen Longoria Crowe Andrus Villalona Miranda Lofgren Inman

I am hoping Upton will start the season at 2B or SS and then I can move him into MI slot over Pedroia.

For SP, I will start the 3 SP with all starts. Should I spot start the bench starters for favorable team matchups or just keep them in always? I may need to get a 3rd closer, but at the moment am content with two good ones.

Crystal ball? Weaknesses? Thanks.

Ok, 12 team keeper league
6x6: AVG, HR, R, SB, RBI, OPS vs. K, ERA, SV, W, WHIP, H

...i assume that changes a few things. my first ever draft, how's my team look?

one other thing, we have LF-CF-RF rather than just three OF, carry 5 SP, 3 RP, one P and 7 Bench players in addition to a starting UTIL. no DH. put in parenthesis where i tentatively have players slotted.

6. Chase Utley (2B)
19. Manny Ramirez (LF)
30. Joe Mauer (C)
43. Aramis Ramirez (3B)
54. Johnny Damon (CF)
67. Mariano Rivera (RP)
78. Jason Giambi (1B)
91. Felipe Lopez (SS)
104. Takahi Saito (RP)
115. JD Drew (RF)
128. Magglio Ordonez (UTIL)
139. Kenji Johjima (C)
152. Randy Johnson (SP)
163. Derek Lowe (SP)
176. Fernando Rodney (RP)
187. Pat Neshek (P)
198. Mike Cameron (B - CF eligible only for now)
211. Freddy Garcia (SP)
224. Javier Vasquez (SP)
235. Cla Meredith (B)
248. Greg Maddux (SP)
259. Orlando Hudson (B - 2B)
272. Wes Helms (B - 3B/1B)
283. T. Gorzelanny (B - SP)
296. Jesse Crain (B - RP)

Since people were undervaluing the good setup guys I stockpiled a couple, hoping to trade them when people panic. Will also probably look to trade Ordonez or Cameron? One guy drafted Ortiz and Hafner without realizing neither is 1B eligible and there's no DH. So I'm trying to send him Ordonez and a reliever for one of the two, any ideas on what's fair value there?
